The meetings are very important because they aim to solve two problems that come up. One is that life is necessarily different for these professionals in their home countries compared with the Basque Country, because of the distance. The other process is that the Basque Country, Bizkaia, is constantly changing, and thus a knowledge gap forms between the professionals’ environment of origin and their new location. These meetings act as a knowledge bridge for these professionals and that is very important.

As I see it, our need is for professionals with broad international experience in the aeronautical industry, for instance, along with advanced skills. To incorporate these professionals into our companies is to incorporate knowledge that will be of great strategic value for our future.

Since its foundation, ITP has set itself the goal of training its professionals in the international aspects of the business. It has taken a lot of effort, and what we have achieved through the bizkaia:xede programme is that we have sourced professionals directly for our job vacancies over the past two years.
